Valley Oak Ranch offers a conditioning program for foal owners who wish to consign their yearling offspring to sales. Beginning in July of each year, yearlings are brought into stalls with lights to begin their conditioning program. They are taught to lunge, tie and pony. The process is started slowly, so as not to cause harm or stress to the colt. To achieve optimum coat condition and weight, all the sale preparation offspring are fed alfalfa hay twice a day and Strategy 2-3 times a day. Routine paste worming begins monthly and a daily dose a Strongid pellets is also given.

Valley Oak Ranch annually attends the sales at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity, Reno, Nevada, PCCHA Futurity, Reno, Nevada,  and NCHA Futurity, Ft. Worth, Texas. Transportation to and presentation at these sales is available. For all other sales, it is the owners responsibility to arrange for transportation and presentation during sale. No commision is received from sale!
